Silicon aluminum ferro alloy is a deoxidizer used in steelmaking production. It improves the shape of inclusions and reduces the content of gas elements in molten steel. It is an effective new technology to improve steel quality, reduce costs, and save aluminum.
For the production of silicon aluminum ferro alloy, according to the raw material processing method, there are two kinds of ore reducing agent directly into the furnace through batching and first into the furnace after agglomeration treatment.
What are the advantages of silicon aluminum ferro:
1. The practical application of silicon aluminum ferro alloy deoxidation proves that the effect is good. Compared with aluminum deoxidation, not only the aluminum yield is high, the residual aluminum is easy to control, and the shape of inclusions is also improved;
2. After using silicon aluminum alloy, the element recovery rate is high, mainly because the proportion of alloy increases, the proportion of aluminum is 2.7g/cm3, the proportion of silicon aluminum ferro is 3.5-4.2g/cm3, and the proportion of final steelmaking slag is generally 2.8-3.2 g/cm3, so the alloy will sink below the slag surface after being added, effectively controlling the reaction of aluminum with air and oxygen in the slag.
3. The deoxidation effect is good. It is generally believed that complex deoxidation products are formed, and the activity of oxides is reduced, which is conducive to the deoxidation reaction.
4. It is easy to form a low melting point, which makes the inclusions easy to aggregate and promotes floating removal. When deoxidizing with silicon aluminum ferro respectively, the total aluminum content in the steel is higher in the former than in the latter, while the acid-soluble aluminum in the latter is higher than that in the former, which shows that when ferrosilicon is used, the aluminum oxide inclusions are greatly reduced.
