Si-aluminum-ferro-alloy is a kind of compound deoxidizer used in steelmaking, which can improve the inclusions and reduce the content of gas elements in molten steel. It is an effective new technology to improve the quality of steel, reduce the cost and save aluminum.It is especially suitable for deoxidization of molten steel in continuous casting. It has been proved by practice that it not only meets the deoxidization requirement of steel-making, but also has desulfurization performance and has the advantages of specific weight and strong penetration.
The main uses of si-aluminum-iron are: using si-aluminum-iron alloy for deoxygenation.Compared with aluminum deoxidization, the yield of aluminum is higher, the amount of residual aluminum is easy to control, and the morphology of inclusion is also improved.
After using silicon and aluminum alloy, the element recovery rate is high, mainly because of the increase of alloy specific gravity, aluminum specific gravity 2.7g/cm3, silicon, aluminum and iron (FeAl30Si20) specific gravity 3.5-4.2g/cm3, steel final slag specific gravity is generally 2.8-3.2g/cm3, so the alloy will sink below the slag surface after adding, effectively control the aluminum and air and oxygen reaction in the slag.
The deoxidization effect is good, which is generally considered to be the generation of complex deoxidization products, and the reduction of oxide activity is conducive to the deoxidization reaction.In addition, it is easy to form a low melting point phase, so that the inclusion is easy to polymerize and promote the removal of floating.When aluminum and FeAl30Si20 are respectively used for deoxidation, the total aluminum content in the steel is higher than that of the latter, while the acid soluble aluminum in the latter is higher than that of the former, which indicates that the aluminum oxide inclusion is greatly reduced when FeAl30Si20 is used for deoxidation.
